Only five EU countries did not sign ACTA
Only Five EU countries have not agreed to sign the controversial ACTA treaty. The aim of the ACTA treaty is to enforce copywrite laws across most of the world. The European commission assures us that the final draft of the ACTA treaty is very different to the first proposed treaty. "It simply does not change EU law," trade commission spokesman John Clancy told ZDNet UK. "The freedom of the internet that existed before — people's access and the way they use the internet — will not change because of ACTA."

Popular Irish Forum Boards.ie give there opinion on the proposed ACTA treaty. The message goes on to say that the proposed treaty is ludicrous and puts social media sites like twitter and Facebook at risk and popular sites like youtube at risk.
